Hey, kids, get off our lawn!
So, the post below was actually completed on July 10, but never posted because we were hoping to get some pictures on the computer. Sorry. I figure a new post will be better rather than waiting for the pictures.
We'll try to update again soon.

That's correct, one little corner of the world is a bit greener and is producing some more oxygen than it was before. After hard work, frustration, me actually driving something that resembles a construction vehicle and a sod company misremembering twice that we did indeed pay them — we're cookin' with grass.
It's no easy task to keep a lawn maintained when you're close to a desert, so now the challenge is keeping it green. That and we don't have the entire yard covered as of yet, but it is an improvement.
Throughout this process, I've learned about sod, soil, underground sprinkler systems, funny pipe (has nothing to do with drugs) and how large chunks of foundations of previous houses can be discovered by simply raking dirt.
It would have been nice to strike some oil, but that didn't happen. However, we worked together on a project that had its trying moments, and we finished it together.
Now we know where the grass is greener.
(July 31 - the grass is still green and Rob has mowed it twice already! It's incredibly soft and beautiful. Thanks to Rob for all the hard work!)
