A Whole New World
This may sound dramatic, but this morning the boys have been playing and reading on their own for well over an hour. It's as though besides cleaning I have time to do something of my own choice. It is very strange. I suppose it's part of this process of the baby growing up, and the brothers finding their rhythm together. It certainly isn't easy to step back and realize there will be no more babies, less dependency for physical matters. The journey continues - just in a new territory (well, mostly.)
On another note, Briggs will be having a colonoscopy/endoscopy next week. We've met with a pediatric gastroenterologist and he feels its the next best step in defining what's going on with Briggs on a regular schedule - particularly with his fevers and abdomen pain. Your prayers and love are appreciated. I've been told Wednesday will be difficult as he can't eat and his body is medicated to clean out, so we're planning on an inside, messy day. Thursday he'll have the procedure, which is routine and being done at one of my most trusted places for children - Primary Children's Hospital.
